
qPCR instrument: Roche LightCycler Nano
Roche LightCycler Nano was relased in november 2012 at American Society for Human Genetics annual meeting in San Fransisco. This is a mid-price segment of the market qPCR Machine dedicated for life science research only.

Key features
Silver Block The silver block designed to ensure a high degree of temperature homogeneity and uniformity thus improving data consistency and accuracy ( +/- 0.2° Celsius from the target temperature). Optical fibers The 96 individual glass optical fibres ensuring equal and simultaneous data capture from all 96 wells. The system is also calibration-free, as it does not require a passive reference dye. With the new LightCycler 96, Roche complete the portfolio which also includes the following instruments:- LightCycler 480 (switch between 96 and 384 well plate)
- LightCycler 1536 (the most expensive,pharmaceutical research, discovery, and quality control)
- LightCycler Nano (32 well plates introduced in 2011, sold to academic users )
