The G1-12 Portable PCR System, "Palm PCR" produced by Ahram Biosystems is a hand-size, battery-powered portable PCR machine. This unprecedented device features a fully portable thermocycler that provides high speed and high efficiency PCR amplification in a handheld format making it ideal when it is required to have an "on-site" PCR.

The battery allows for more than 4 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. The device is designed to conform to the standart 9 mm spacing well formats to use with a disposable sample tube. High amplification speed that allows 30-cycles within 30 min down to 24 min, extreme high efficiency near single-copy amplification sensitivity and eazy to program and compatible with standard tools.
